![]() ![]() I do believe this is optional, but I could be wrong. The bot account is solely so that you can rename your bot to whatever you'd like, should you choose. I'm not sure what you mean, so if that didn't answer your question, I need clarification. An educated guess would leave me to believe they're using a separate screen because they're also streaming from PC and need a screen for chat, while they full-screen the game. If you're asking if you need it, then, no you don't. ![]() I'm not sure what you're referring to when you say "secondary chat screens". Short answer, yes, provided that you have a strong enough laptop to run all of these things smoothly. If you have a lot of chat traffic, Scorpbot can sometimes take a while to catch up, whereas Scotty is fine. I moved from Scottybot to Scorpbot because the song request feature and raffle commands seem to work better for me. I'm not entirely sure what you're looking to do, but I'd start with Scottybot only if you're unfamiliar with bots and how to set it up. ![]() It really depends on what you want your bot to do for you. I'm looking forward to seeing just how accessible these applications are in practice. Should I be concerned? Is this normal? What does it even need this for anyway? However, once you sign in your "streamer account", you get, amongst other elements, this in terms of what permissions it needs: "View your email address and other private details." In Firebot, the bot account's permissions seem relatively mundane, mostly concerned with chat administration. This one takes a little explanation: I've set up a new Microsoft account for my bot (thought this was what you had to do anyway and couldn't find anything to contradict me). Can I have these running on a laptop whilst broadcasting from a console? I understood it that these were designed to run in conjunction with OBS, but I've also heard about people using secondary chat screens to keep up with everything regardless of what they broadcast on. A while ago I planned to look into chatbots for streaming and, given that I plan to start test streams within the next week or so, I wanted to get answers to a few questions I've encountered during setup: The first is which bot is easier to work with in terms of functionality? I know it's subjective but I'd like to know what people are using out of these two and why if possible. ![]()
